Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort & Spa

Stayed for 11 days and 10 nights and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and smooth vacation! A few people really stood out to me while staying here: Omar on the Dreams side pool deck was absolutely wonderful! Attentive, funny, accurate, thoughtful, and even took the time to help me with my Spanish! This man is one of the main reasons I will be back to this resort! Carlos in concierge on Dreams Preffered Suites was our butler for our trip and he was exceptionally informative with daily WhatsApp messages with the days activities, perfect at handling any reservations we asked for, and always had a smile on his face! Such a sweet and thoughtful man! Lastly Silo and Gilberto at Oceana preferred club breakfast made our mornings so special! My friend and I had a wicked craving for eggs Benedict, and when we asked if it was possible to have this Silo immediately went back to the kitchen to get our orders started early so they would arrive on time with the other two meals at our table. As I understand he went to two different restaurants to get these ingredients (didn’t find this out until after we had eaten) and we were absolutely blown away with the service and quality! Gilberto also introduced us to the most amazing homemade spicy hot sauce unique to the Oceana restaurant of which we are dying for the recipe for now haha. The facilities are stunning, the entertainment both on the pool deck and in the lobby were top notch and fun to engage in, and the location is perfect as it is only 10 minutes to the airport and to the Malecón. Whale watching is also easy to do from the pool deck as there is a guard who watches the ocean and rings a massive bell every time he spots a whale so guests can enjoy the sights.

Our stay at Dreams & Secrets Vallarta Bay in Puerto Vallarta was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the breathtaking ocean views from every room and the beautifully maintained property. The dining experience was outstanding. We enjoyed three delicious meals daily, with excellent options ranging from à la carte restaurants to the buffets. The quality of food was consistently impressive, and the service throughout the resort was attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. Cleanliness and organization were top-notch. A special mention goes to Gilberto at the swim-up bar on the Secrets side—he provided excellent service and truly enhanced our experience. The Entertainment Team deserves high praise: Jimmy, Noe, Ivan, Francisco, Eliana, Joel, Tere, and new team member Aidee all worked together seamlessly to create fun, engaging, and welcoming activities for guests. We especially loved the 8:30 AM yoga classes, 11:00 AM SUP yoga, and water aerobics. The kayak and Hobie Cat tours were fantastic, and we felt completely safe and well cared for by the beach team at all times. We confidently rate this resort five stars and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality, and memorable vacation.

We are currently staying at Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort & Spa, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our concierge, Yareli. From the moment we arrived, she has been absolutely spectacular. Yareli has gone above and beyond in every aspect of our stay — attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead of anything we might need. What truly stood out was her support during the recent events in Puerto Vallarta. During a time that could have felt uncertain, she was a calm, reassuring presence and an incredible source of accurate information. She kept us informed, helped us feel safe, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. Her professionalism and care made a world of difference. Yareli is a wealth of information and a true asset to this resort. Because of her, our stay has been not only enjoyable but stress-free. She embodies hospitality at its finest. If you are staying here, you are in excellent hands with Yareli. She is exceptional.

We had a great time at the property. The food was delicious! We dined at the buffet mostly. Activities switch up daily. The staff is friendly and professional. We had the pleasure of Yalepi being our concierge while we were staying in the Penthouse at Dreams. She is such an asset and made sure we had everything we needed and much more! Thank you, Yalepi! Luciana at reception is also quite noteworthy she is professional and so helpful! The staff overall was wonderful. I also found some stunning silver jewelry from Omar, one of the beach vendors. Would love to go back someday.

Our 6th year coming here- Hyatt recently bought the property and it’s only improved! We love love love the food here, it’s all so good, and the staff is absolutely family-like. Truly unparalleled service, especially our Butler Carlos! Our favorite part other than the dining options is that the pools are HEATED and the overall vibe of the property is just really welcoming and friendly. There’s not too many kids on the Dreams side if you are worried about that, and we find that the dreams side is more “fun” energy while Scerets is quieter and calmer- so pick the vibe you want!

We recently returned from a fantastic family trip to Dreams Vallarta Bay. It was beautiful and so convenient to not worry about any meals - it made for a truly relaxing experience. Arrival & First Impressions The entrance is stunning—located on the third floor up a ramp past a beautiful waterfall wall. The staff greeted us immediately, handled our bags, and provided a welcome drink. The open-air lobby offers a breathtaking view of the pools and the ocean. Everyone at the front desk was excellent, and English was spoken fluently throughout the resort. The Rooms: We stayed in connecting Junior Ocean View Suites. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The View: Absolutely beautiful. I loved that the balcony railing was glass, so we had an unobstructed view of the ocean right from our beds. Amenities: The bathroom featured a jetted tub and a shower with great water pressure and heat. Noise: We were close to the elevators and could hear the evening shows, but it wasn't bothersome or loud enough to disrupt our rest. Service: Housekeeping was very responsive when we requested extra items. Pools & Beach The pool area was the highlight for my kids. Toddler/Kids Pools: One pool is quite shallow and was perfect for my toddlers. It was very warm (almost too warm by the afternoon, even in February!). The adjoining pool with the waterslide was also a hit. Note: The slide is concrete; it’s smooth, but a little "bumpy" compared to plastic, though the kids didn't mind. There was an appropriately watchful lifeguard on duty. Main Pools: We loved the all-ages pool near the cabanas and noticed a separate pool with a swim-up bar. Cabanas: We rented a mini-cabana for $200, which was an excellent value for a family of five. It gave us a dedicated home base in the shade. Shout out to Junior, our attendant, who was fantastic and kept us stocked with drinks! The Beach: Just a few steps from the pool. The sand was nice, the water was clean, and the waves were fun for the kids without being too strong. The water was warm enough in February for play, but we didn't totally submerge or try to swim. There are convenient showers to rinse off the sand before heading back to the pool. Dining & Food The food was solid overall—I'd describe it as "good, not excellent," but the convenience of not needing reservations was a huge benefit and made me a little more forgiving. The Buffet: Our go-to for breakfast and lunch. The made-to-order omelets and the traditional stews were highlights. The baked desserts were hit-or-miss, but easy to skip. Restaurants: We enjoyed Castaways (seafood/grill). We tried to get a Teppanyaki table by lining up 20 minutes early, but still couldn't snag a spot! Poolside: Solid options like burgers, pizza, fries, and ice cream. Entertainment & Kids Club I highly recommend downloading the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app before you arrive. You can see the full activity schedule for the resort and the Kids Club without even having an active reservation, so this can help when you're deciding on a resort. Kids Club: They take children ages 3 and up. While we didn't do a full drop-off, we went during "Family Hour" (where parents stay). It felt very secure with a locking door system. They enjoyed the playground, some coloring, snacks, and TV. Evening Shows: We saw the Beatles tribute and the traditional Mexican show. Both were high-quality with great music and acrobatics. They start at 9:00 PM; this would have been late for our kids, but worked for our home time zone. Final Verdict The staff truly makes this place. From the servers who remembered us daily to our buffet waiter who drew chocolate art on a plate for the kids on our last morning—the service is a 5/5. If you want a stress-free family getaway with beautiful views and excellent service, I would highly recommend Dreams Vallarta Bay.

This was a wonderful short trip. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the food options spectacular. Almost every guest was tipping so we did too, which adds to the cost a bit (considering how many poolside drinks we got). The other (strange) thing was that rooms were not refreshed unless you ask the concierge or front desk to send someone. We were not the only room to experience this but once you asked, the service was good.

A fantastic resort with incredible service. My family had a wonderful week here in February before our flight was cancelled due to the security concerns. The staff, all across the board, were incredibly supportive and helpful during a stressful time. Would definitely return.
